{FIRST_NAME|ALAN Partners},

This report is provided for your planning purposes regarding Hurricane Matthew.

At 800 PM EDT, the center of Hurricane Matthew was located east of Cape Fear. Matthew is still at hurricane strength but could possibly become a post-tropical cyclone later tonight or on Sunday. Please follow official reporting from the National Hurricane Center (http://www.nhc.noaa.gov/#MATTHEW) for the current forecast.

Storm impacts include significant flooding, widespread power outages and associated communications issues. Refer to official information sources for information regarding your area.

Links to information on items affecting supply chain activities is listed in the table below. This includes information on port and road conditions, transportation waivers for certain relief items, re-entry into evacuated areas, open/closed services, curfews, and rail status. This update includes links to power outage maps. Should there be information you need but do not see, please contact us and we will add it to the report. A single page summary of re-entry information for all states is being prepared by emergency management. This will be shared as soon as available.

ALAN is coordinating with emergency management and non-profit partners regarding their response. Needs are posted at: http://alanaid.org/logistics-map/

We are anticipating transportation needs today to support movement of pet food to shelter locations throughout GA, NC, and SC. We have open requests for warehouse space in Orlando for Florida response, and Miami and New York (JFK) to stage medical supplies, hygiene kits, and water filters for international response to Haiti. Submit your offer of assistance here: http://alanaid.org/how-to-help/offerinkind/

We anticipate additional requests for warehouse space, transportation, and material handling equipment. PLEASE NOTE: These requests may take several days to a week to surface as damage assessments are completed and local resources are exhausted.

Should a coordination call be needed we will advise via this forum and our social media links. If you’d like more information on how you can assist with our response activities, please contact me.

Please help us share important messaging about this storm. Retweet us on Twitter, Share our posts on Facebook, and LinkedIn .

Thank you for your continued support of ALAN and all those we serve!
