This report is provided for your planning purposes regarding Hurricane Matthew and its impact to the Caribbean and East Coast.

As of 11 AM EDT, Hurricane Matthew has made landfall southeast of McClellanville, SC, resulting in serious inland flooding. Matthew is expected to continue to move near or over the coast of South Carolina today, and be near the coast of southern North Carolina by tonight. Maximum sustained winds are near 75 mph (120 km/h) with higher gusts.  Although weakening is forecast during the next 48 hours, Matthew is expected to remain near hurricane strength while the center is near the coasts of South Carolina and North Carolina.. Storm impacts include significant flooding, widespread power outages and associated communications issues. Refer to official information sources for information regarding your area.

Links to information on items affecting supply chain activities is listed in the table below. This includes information on port and road conditions, transportation waivers for certain relief items, re-entry into evacuated areas, open/closed services, and more. As of this report we have added information available on curfews and rail status. Should there be information you need but do not see, please contact us and we will add it to the report. A single page summary of re-entry information for all states is being prepared by emergency management. This will be shared as soon as available.

We are anticipating transportation needs today to support movement of pet food to shelter locations throughout GA, NC, and SC. We have open requests for warehouse space in Orlando for Florida response, and Miami and New York (JFK) to stage medical supplies, hygiene kits, and water filters for international response to Haiti. Submit your offer of assistance here:

We anticipate additional requests for warehouse space, transportation, and material handling equipment. PLEASE NOTE: These requests may take several days to a week to surface as damage assessments are completed and local resources are exhausted.
