Hurricane Situation Report 2017-09-19

September 19, 2017 – Maria Preparation

Irma, Harvey Recovery

Just a brief note tonight. Our response to Hurricanes Harvey and Irma continues, with additional needs being posted as received. We are working to bring together resources and needs – whether they be for services, equipment, or information.

Even as we continue working on requests in Texas, Louisiana, and the Caribbean, we are preparing to support the response to Hurricane Maria. Maria’s impact on the East Coast is uncertain at this time, but the Caribbean will once again be affected. As many organizations will be sending supplies from the US, we anticipate a significant need for transportation from around the country to airports in Florida – MIA and FLL. Please let us know if you’d like to support those needs.

Open Needs

Continuity of Supply Chain Activities

On today’s NBEOC call, there was a request for information regarding private sector ability to re-supply areas anticipated to be affected by Hurricane Maria. This information is utilized to help FEMA assess where to target their response. If you have interests in the Caribbean, we’d like to hear from you. Your information will be anonymized and aggregated.

We appreciate your support throughout this extended response. On behalf of all the communities we serve, we extend our deepest gratitude!
