Brief, important information this evening:

On today’s FEMA/DHS coordination call, Mr. Carlos Mercader, the Executive Director for Puerto Rico Federal Affairs Administration, the priority for shipments to Puerto Rico is as follows:

  • Cargo from FEMA / DOD / other government agencies
  • Items needed for restoration of power, fuel transportation, and communications
  • Corporate safety? shipments
  • Humanitarian shipments

PRFAA requested an inventory of humanitarian shipments and are creating a master schedule with FEMA Private Sector to organization shipments. (see note on ALAN call)

For air/sea port authorization or ground logistics in PR, contact info@prfaa.pr.gov Mr. Mercader is working with DOT and other agencies to make sure shipments are authorized and get there.
