September 27, 2017

Maria Response, Irma, Harvey Recovery

Tonight’s top takeaways:

Water, food, and fuel are the top requests for businesses in Puerto Rico as they look to take care of their employees and restart their operations. One business today shared that if they can get these items they will be ready to restart because they are “battered, not broken”.

Today, Puerto Rico issued a request for truck drivers and equipment, especially for fuel and refrigerated trucks. The number to contact to offer services is 469-401-9603.

The Puerto Rico Federal Affairs Administration has posted a data collection form for coordination of humanitarian flights: http://prfaa.pr.gov/humanitarianflights/

ALAN is hosting a second coordination call for businesses seeking to collaborate on shipping to Puerto Rico.  The call will be Thursday 9/29/2017 at 10:30 AM Eastern. ALAN is working with LIFT http://gotlift.org to compile a consolidated list of cargo needing shipment.  This form is available at: http://alanaid.org/prship   This will aid us in determining what size/type of vessel is needed. This is in response to PRFAA’s request for an inventory of humanitarian shipments. To request to join the call, email ops@alanaid.org. For those who participated on Tuesday, the call in information is the same.

DHS and FEMA are holding a daily private sector coordination call at 3 PM Eastern.
