Response in Progress
Tropical storm Debby, wildfires, and severe weather in the form of a derecho damaged businesses and homes throughout June and early July. ALAN continues our response to these events — connecting resources for VOAD and emergency management agencies and sharing response and recovery information with businesses and communities. Visit our website to see how you can help prepare your home and business for future events or volunteer your time or resources.

Interactive Map promotes Collaboration
The Business Civic Leadership Center (BCLC) at the US Chamber of Commerce announces their interactive "Business for Good" map. This tool promotes collaboration by providing visibility to humanitarian projects around the globe. To learn more, contact Dr. Jeff Lundy.

Crafting Resiliency Through Sustainability
ALAN is proud to support initiatives aimed at building a more resilient country. One great example is the NYC Materials Exchange and Development Program (NYC MEDP). A program of the New York City Department of Sanitation's Bureau of Waste Prevention, Reuse and Recycling, NYC MEDP helps to support and promote the non-profit material donations community in New York City. NYC MEDP is now working to develop a strategic partnership with commercial carriers operating in the Tri-state Region. Interested carriers can contact NYC MEDP.

Many Faces of ALAN – Paul Delp
Paul DelpPaul Delp of Lansdale Warehouses knows a good idea when he hears it. From the first mention of the ALAN concept, Delp has been a sponsor, promoter, and volunteer. "It is the right thing to do and it is not that difficult if everyone participates and we make our communities that much stronger," he says. Delp has represented ALAN at events in New Jersey and surrounding areas. Delp and Lansdale Warehouses have a long history of volunteer activities, including work with Red Cross, United Way, Penn State, and Kiwanis. He believes that businesses have social responsibilities in every community where they have operations.
