It’s hard to believe.  But it’s already time for one of ALAN’s favorite holidays.

We’re talking, of course, about ALANtine’s Day, that special time of year when we take a moment to show some extra love for our extraordinary in-kind supporters.

As always, instead of sending flowers or candy, we’d like to give you something that’s much more meaningful: a sweet look back at some of the most memorable in-kind donations that ALAN has received over the past year.  Happy reading – and happy ALANtine’s Day.

1,791,862         Total people ALAN was able to serve in 2024 with the help of our in-kind donors

306,849            Dollars these in-kind donations saved nonprofit organizations

100,000+          Pounds of supplies that Salute A Tribute To American Veterans has been able to distribute to hurricane survivors more quickly because of a donated forklift from Dedicated Material Handling Solutions

40,000              Pounds of hyperbaric chamber parts that Tucker Company Worldwide and Ryder transported across the country free of charge so our friends at Beyond The Brotherhood could treat Navy Seals with traumatic brain injuries

35,000              Pounds of tarps (enough to assist 2,500 people) that were delivered free of charge by an anonymous ALAN donor to help with Every Shelter’s ongoing storm relief efforts

20,000              People that California’s Volunteers for Public Service has been able to serve more effectively since receiving a donated forklift and electric pallet jack from Southwest ToyotaLift

8,933                Miles that CEVA Logistics traveled to assist ALAN with six different 2024 cases — delivering three pallet jacks and 16 pallets of supplies to five different ALAN nonprofit partners

1,700                Hurricane survivors who received much-needed replacements of their medical equipment/supplies thanks in part to JB Hunt and Southeastern Freight Lines, who donated the transportation needed to deliver 29 pallets worth’ to our partners at FODAC in the Carolinas

1,400                Boxes that International Paper and BCI Houston Division donated to help support Adventist Community Service’s hurricane response

1,315+              Hurricane Helene survivors and first responders who got access to safer hydration thanks in part to Saddle Creek Logistics, which provided the pro bono transportation needed to get 30 pallets of water filters and four pallets of energy drinks delivered to North Carolina and Alabama

884                  Miles that transportation donor GLT Logistics carried four pallets of solar panels to help our friends at Footprint Project with ongoing Hurricane Helene recovery efforts

500                  Families in Libertyville, Texas, that were able to get clean drinking water after Hurricane Beryl thanks in part to Talke USA, which transported Niagara Bottling’s 10-pallet bottled water donation at no cost

450                  Senior citizens and families that Louisiana’s Hearts2Serve can assist more efficiently thanks to a loaned forklift from Briggs Equipment

422                  Boxes of donated new clothing and shoes that warehousing donor Prism Logistics stored and palletized to support Distribute Aid’s international humanitarian response efforts

120                  Pallets of plywood that transportation donor C.H. Robinson moved across Florida to help our nonprofit partners at Compassionate Alliance with post-Hurricane Milton and Helene rebuilding efforts

80                    Pallet jacks that NOBLELIFT donated to ALAN – and that Partners Warehouse stored free of charge – to distribute as needed for various humanitarian efforts (the largest MHE donation in our history)

61                    Pallets of relief supplies that ALAN donors such as A. Duie Pyle, GLT Logistics, AP Moller Maersk and Oak Harbor Freight Lines delivered free of charge to help Distribute Aid with hurricane and international relief efforts

44                    Pallets of frozen bread that transportation donor U.S. Cold Storage moved from Kansas and Nebraska to Texas to assist Operation BBQ Relief with Hurricane Beryl response

36                    Pallets of plywood that transportation donor KDL Logistics moved to Longs, South Carolina, to support Spokes of Hopes’ post-Hurricane Helene rebuilding efforts

31                    Pallets of food shipped free of charge to two Pacific Northwest community food pantries  by Diamond Line Delivery and Peninsula Truck Lines

30                    Pallets of donated water from Niagara Bottling that Southwest Truck Driver Training and States Logistics transported at no cost to help support Keep Phoenix Beautiful’s extreme heat safety efforts – and to help provide thousands of Los Angeles residents with clean drinking water after a lead contamination incident

26                    Cartons of pencils transported free of charge by an anonymous donor to support Just A Friend Foundation’s efforts to assist students at underserved schools across the country

11                    Pallets of clothing that Oak Harbor Freight Lines transported free of charge to support Peace Builders’ efforts for homeless and underserved women

10                    Donated forklifts, electric pallet jacks or other pieces of industrial equipment that were moved free of charge to their new nonprofit homes courtesy of ALAN donors like Southeast Industrial Equipment, GLT Logistics, CEVA Logistics, Wilson Warehouse Co, UPS Foundation, Good 360 and Coyote Logistics

5                      Cases that Port Jersey Logistics helped ALAN fill for Hurricane Helene, disaster preparedness and poverty relief efforts – including providing pro bono transportation for 42 crates of tools/pallet jacks, 29 pallets of solar power panels/equipment and six pallets of shoes

4                      Refrigerated or dry containers that were loaned or transported free of charge by in-kind donors such as AP Moller Maersk, UPS Foundation and Coyote Logistics for 2024 hurricane and flood response

2                      Truckloads of bottled water and MREs that Cowan Systems transported at no cost to help the Eagles Wings Foundation with hurricane relief efforts in Florida

3                      Forklifts that Carolina Handling (via the Raymond Corporation), Southern States ToyotaLift and Southeast Industrial Equipment donated to African American Association of USA, Boricuas de Corazon and the Unit Promise to help with ongoing humanitarian and hurricane relief efforts

1                      Forklift that Precision Material Handling loaned to Gods Little Voices in order to help with that organization’s day-to-day operations
